Latief is making his fifth Championship start in 2026. He has improved his finish in the Asia-Pacific Amateur in each of the past four editions. Earlier this year, the University of North Texas sophomore recorded two top-four performances in World Amateur Golf Ranking events in Indonesia. In 2025, he won three events in Indonesia, reached the round of 64 in the U.S. Junior Amateur in Texas and earned a team silver medal in the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
