Moto is making his second Championship start in 2026 and first since 2024 when he finished inside the top 20 in Japan in his Asia-Pacific Amateur debut. Earlier this year, the University of Arizona junior recorded third-place performances for his school in both the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate and Western Intercollegiate and reached the round of 32 in the U.S. Amateur at Merion Golf Club. In 2025, he finished T-3 in the Southern Amateur in Arkansas and reached the quarterfinals of the Western Amateur in Illinois.
