Zhou is making his fifth Championship start in 2026. He has finished inside the top 25 in each of the past four editions and was runner-up in 2024 in Japan to fellow countryman Wenyi Ding. Earlier this year, the University of California, Berkeley junior earned Honorable Mention All-America honors following a sophomore season which included a victory in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship and six other top-10 performances. He also finished T-8 in both the Sunnehanna Amateur in Pennsylvania and Northeast Amateur in Rhode Island last summer.
